Prague Airport offers easier orientation for passengers
Starting in January 2020, Apple device owners have a new benefit - interactive indoor maps to help them find their way around. With this move, Prague Airport joins 74 airports worldwide (15 of which are in Europe) that offer this useful feature.
What does the app bring to passengers?
Unlike a traditional map, visitors can get a detailed overview of their surroundings. Interactive maps not only show the location of passengers, but also important points of interest such as check-in counters, check-in gate entrances, security checkpoints, baggage check-in areas and even shops and restaurants. This enhanced functionality provides passengers with a useful guide to move around the airport more conveniently and efficiently.
How do you do that?
All you need is the Apple Maps app pre-installed on your device. On the screen you have the option to select the floor you want (L0 - L3) if the one you need is not displayed. Using the app is easy and intuitive. You can also save your favourite places or find out the latest traffic information in the app, which will make planning your journey to or from the airport much easier. You can also use voice navigation to guide you through the entire airport.
On your phone, tablet and computer
You can officially use the interior map on your phones and tablets, but we can confirm that it will also work on your PC/laptop.
You won't get lost at the airport
With Apple Maps , you'll never get lost again, not just at Václav Havel Airport, but at other airports around the world that support indoor maps. There are currently more than 100 airports, most of which are in the US. With this app, you'll always have detailed information about your location and key locations such as counters, gates, security checkpoints and baggage claim points at your fingertips.
